Production Services

The purpose of O.L.M. is to develop comprehensive farming systems for clients that will meet production goals and satisfy organic certification requirements. We begin by developing a farm plan that includes crop rotation development, nutrient requirement assessments, and weed and pest management strategies. By working at the ground level with producers, we help them succeed in their organic farming operations.

Regular visits throughout the growing season gives O.L.M. the opportunity to share and develop farming techniques while evaluating crop health and pest management strategies. Whether growing food or feed quality crops, maximizing yield while building soil is the goal with our client producers.

Processing Services

A recent ERS/USDA report stated that organic product sales in the United States increased 20-25 percent annually between 1990 and 2000. Annual growth rates are forecasted at 20 percent or more for the next 5 to 10 years.

While domestic demand for organic product is growing rapidly, foreign markets are also continuing to grow at healthy rates. Presently the demand is out pacing the supply in the United States and abroad.

O.L.M. specializes in preparing producers to achieve the quality and quantity of organic production that the buyer has contracted. Marketing selection and the logistical operation to deliver timely to the processor is managed by O.L.M.

This reduces the buyer's procurement cost and achieves a higher revenue source for the producer.
